3 minute read

Retiring Warwick Farm trainer Bill Prain's half a century in racing is to be celebrated at his home track.

Retiring trainer Bill Prain 's 50-year career in racing is to be celebrated at the midweek meeting at Warwick Farm, his home track.

Prain announced his retirement last week with his major supporter, Fred Peisah scaling back his racing and breeding business at Lomar Park Stud.

The Australian Turf Club has named a race for Prain at Wednesday's meeting and will host a lunch for his family and friends.

A former jockey, Prain had Group success as a trainer with Peisah, most notably with Moment's Pleasure.

As a two-year-old Moment's Pleasure won two Group races and the following year was runner-up to Flitter in the Group One Winfield, now Coolmore, Classic.
