Talented filly Pure Elation will miss the autumn as she continues her recovery from knee surgery.

A three-year-old trained by Peter and Paul Snowden, Pure Elation won the Percy Sykes Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) and Furious Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m).

“She was going to Melbourne for the Coolmore but pulled up sore after she worked,” Paul Snowden said.

“X-rays showed she had chips in her knee which is far from ideal.

"When the chips are displaced, they just suck them out but in her case they had to go in and scrape them out. Because the bone is very brittle they can sometimes remove too much bone.”
