Czarson emerges as a factor in 2YO races

3 minute read

Czarson is not considered the best two-year-old in the Gai Waterhouse/Adrian Bott stable but is on an upward spiral with his second win from two starts.

As to be expected, the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott  stable has a large number of two-year-olds to draw on and has produced one of the most promising to win at Rosehill.

But as good as Czarson  was over 1200 metres on Saturday to lead all the way to beat Kiamichi  by two lengths, he is not the stable's No.1 seed for the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

That label belongs to Unite And Conquer  who runs in the Magic Millions Wyong Classic on Wednesday and is the equal favourite for the $2 million Gold Coast race on January 12.

Czarson will also head that way and stable representative Neil Paine said he had improved since his winning Gosford debut two weeks earlier.

"It was a very professional win and he has come a long in the two weeks since Gosford," Paine said.

"It has really brought him on.

"It was a typical Gai and Adrian win - go to the lead, follow the rail and hit the line strongly.

"He will head to the Magic Millions but Unite And Conquer is a mature colt and deserves to be favourite.

"He's in on Wednesday and could head straight to the Gold Coast without another run while Czarson may need another race."

Waterhouse has an exceptional record with juveniles having won the Golden Slipper six times and the Magic Millions on four occasions before beginning a partnership with Bott.
