TRIAL WATCH REPORT - December 14

CANTERBURY FRIDAY: Twentyfour Carat (R1); Devachan (R1); Ljungberg (R2); Russian Romeo (R2); Exoplanet (R2); Allcash (R7).

DEVACHAN (Rosehill December 4): First trial by this well educated Exceed And Excel filly stamped her as another smart 2YO for the Godolphin stable. Settled fourth and showed a sharp turn of foot from the 300m to quickly make up four lengths on the leader. From there she had them covered and was under no pressure running to the line for a soft win, clocking almost a second quicker than the other four 2YO heats (54.05; 34.80) and her time bettered by only one other heat for the older horses. Promising.

LJUNGBERG (Canterbury November 13): Lightly-raced gelding was responsible for one of the better maiden trials finishing second in his 900m heat (53.75; 34.60). Followed up with another strong trial when second over 1050m at Randwick on November 27. Ready to perform first-up after a patient build up.

SCONE FRIDAY: Miraculous (R1); Paris (R1)
