Breeders' Plate winner Dubious is set to complete his Magic Millions build-up at the re-opening of the Eagle Farm track.

Brisbane's premier track has been out of action for most of the past four years but was last week given the go-ahead to race again after a set of barrier trials convinced officials the surface was back in order.

They transferred a Doomben meeting to Eagle Farm with the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace -trained two-year-old Dubious to be among the first runners.

Dubious won the Breeders' Plate at Randwick in September and was immediately given a short break to prepare for the Magic Millions Two-Year-Old Classic at the Gold Coast on January 12.

The colt has had two trials, finishing fifth at Randwick on November 27, before winning his heat at Warwick Farm last week.

Eustace said following his debut, Dubious had remained in Sydney in the care of Annabel Neasham at Rosehill.

He said the two-year-old had strengthened and matured during his break away from racing.

"He looks great," Eustace said.

"He spelled in Sydney and has been with Annabel at Rosehill and has spent the whole time up there.

"We were really happy with his trial and he hasn't missed a beat since coming back."

Eustace expects Dubious to handle the road trip to Brisbane with ease.

"He's got a terrific attitude and I would be surprised if he didn't handle the whole occasion," Eustace said.
