2019 LA TRICE CLASSIC – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Not a lot of depth to this year's Group 3 La Trice Classic with the leading market hopes tipped to fight out the finish. Speed anticipated from Lucky Roar, Mouquet, Oriental Rose and Fontainebleau.

CELEBRITY DREAM had clear excuses last start when forced to sit wide throughout in the Starstruck Classic. Still stuck on well and has drawn to get a much kinder run in transit this time around. Effort to win two back leaves her as clearly the one to beat and while on trial at the trip, Durrant is a master trainer of stayers.

FONTAINEBLEAU did a really good job to win last start and only looks to have to repeat that level of performance to be right in the finish again. Major threat. LUCKY ROAR is in career best form, next best.

The favourite Celebrity Dream staged a smart performance in winning here her tenth win (six placings) from 22 starts and her fifth stakes success. She was given a good trip by William Pike in fifth place, between runners, got a split on straightening, hit the front nearing the 100m and then went on to score decisively. Fontainebleau had a good trip in third place on the rails, got through on the inner to challenge at the 200m and then battled on nicely for second. Mouquet led the field until halfway down the straight and then held on to take the minor placing.
