Blake Shinn has made an immediate return to the saddle after receiving a medical clearance to resume riding.
Specialists gave Shinn the all-clear to resume riding on Wednesday, five months after breaking his neck in a barrier trial accident at Randwick.
The 31-year-old planned to start riding trackwork on Thursday morning at Randwick and will be available for rides at the Randwick barrier trials on Friday.The Melbourne Cup winning jockey fractured the C1 and C3 in his vertebrae in the barrier trial fall in August.
