SUPER TOO (Marc Conners): We know she’s fast but she was low flying from the gates in this 800m heat where she left a field of black type performers 10 lengths behind after 200m and from there kept running to score by almost 16 lengths! She can be suspect at anything an inch beyond 1000m but you have to credit this performance as she ran the 800m in 47.5 seconds (last 600m 34.10), almost 2 seconds quicker than the other heat for the Group horses won by Fiesta.

TIME TO REIGN (Gary Portelli): Unbeaten youngster was very good in his first return trial, sitting off the leader Exceed The Stars until the last 200m when his class kicked in to reel in the leader under a quiet ride. His last 50m was excellent as he really found the line under no urging to post a fast 46.91 (33.50) for the 797m.

McLAREN (Peter & Paul Snowden); This unraced youngster’s reputation grows with every trial, this 797m heat win in the fastest of the five 2YO heats (46.88;34.00) the most impressive of his three trial wins to date. Cruised up to sit second in the first 200m before taking charge on the turn and from there surged away for the easiest of wins with plenty in reserve. We’ve said it before and can only reiterate he will make an impact when produced.

ENDLESS DRAMA (Chris Waller): All eyes were on Winx in the first 900m heat on the course proper but this stablemate was in excellent form having his first trial since having bone chips removed. He ran along easily in front and held a comfortable lead over a classy bunch for a clear cut win with plenty up his sleeve. Should come on nicely from a heat where the form looks very strong.

FLOW: (James Cummings): Back from his first-up run in Brisbane and right on his game in his 1030m heat, cruising easily in the lead from the start and held back to his rivals over the last 200m for a soft 1.8 length win. Ready to return to the excellent form he displayed last prep.

MR DEPENDABLE (Waterhouse/Bott); Another sharp trial win from this unraced 3YO has him primed to land a maiden first time out. Ran the fastest of the three 1030m heats (1.02.15; 35.00) but could have gone a lot quicker as he was cruising three lengths clear at the 150m before he was throttled down to score by a cosy 1.8 lengths. Won his previous trial at Rosehill on January 2 in similar style and this effort confirmed his natural talent.

GODODDIN (James Cummings): Lot to like about the way this Exceed And Excel filly led and was kept under a hold when another runner railed underneath her to head her at the 200m before she went up a gear to forge away on the line for a soft win. She was a Randwick winner from just four starts last season and confident she can build on that when she resumes.
