The Typhoon Tracy Stakes is a Group 3 race for three-year-old fillies conducted by the Moonee Valley Racing Club at Moonee Valley.
The race is named after the elite mare trained by Peter Moody who was an Australian Horse Of The Year winning many Group 1 races including a CF Orr Stakes, Myer Classic and Queen Of The Turf.
She sadly died giving birth to her only foal in 2012.
The Typhoon Tracy Stakes is run over 1200m and became a Group 3 race from 2014.
The 2019 Typhoon Tracy Stakes is worth $160,000 in prizemoney.
It is one of the few Group races run under lights.
The winners of the Typhoon Tracy Stakes are Miss Gai Flyer, Glows, Norzita, Jazz Song, Written Dash, Almighty Girl, Brugal Reward and Tulip.
The 2018 Typhoon Tracy Stakes was won by Tulip from True Excelsior and Seannie.
