Akeed Mofeed Moves To Victoria

3 minute read

Dubawi stallion Akeed Mofeed will be relocated from South Australia to Victoria’s Swettenham Stud for the 2019 season.

A dual G1 winner of the Hong Kong Derby and Hong Kong Cup has been standing at Goldin Farms in the Barossa Valley for five seasons. He covered 98 mares in 2018.

He has sired 13 first crop winners including three stakes performers.

The transfer is part of an agreement between Swettenham Stud and Goldin Farms for the entire to move between the studs.

Akeed Mofeed was third behind Zoustar and Spirit Of Boom on last year’s first season sires’ table for winners to runners.

Akeed Mofeed will join Toronado, Highland Reel and Trust In A Gust on the Swettenham Stud roster.

Akeed Mofeed has 11 lots catalogued at next month’s Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale and 17 at the Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale.

His fee will remain unchanged at $16,500 (inc GST).
