2019 THOROUGHBRED BREEDERS STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Charleise and Invincible Lotus are two that will run along. TALENTED (2) is bred to be fast and good and followed the big Maiden win on debut with the quinella placing behind Microphone this venue at Listed level and she's well-fancied in the Golden Slipper. Can only be improved and presents as the one to beat.

VARDA (6) won the Maiden easily on debut heavily-backed and the stable has shown they can present them in much tougher after and win features. Williams should manage the rail and the Lonhro filly looks very promising.

CHARLEISE (7) draws next to her and debuted in the Talented race and placed 3rd beaten 3.1L. Gets Zahra for Meech and looks a genuine chance. PELICAN (1) was on-pace winning the Open 2 FU at The Valley and that stacks right up.

On different strides and in a desperate head-bobbing finish the judge was unable to separate dead-heaters Flit and Ready Set Sail. Flit sat fourth last and wide at the crossing, began to gather in the leaders inside the 400m and co-led with two others at the 200m. She looked an easy winner at the 100m but was challenged strongly from the 50m and had to share the honours at the line. Ready Set Sail was a clear last at the crossing but inside the 200m flew hard to level up to the leader then battled it out gamely for the dead-heat. Both were having just their second starts and maiden wins. Talented was also back at the crossing and kept up a strong run from the 150m for a handy third from California Honey who was blocked until the 200m then finished quite well along the inner for fourth.
