2019 EPONA STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Tough race to round out the day's proceedings with a host of leading chances. Speed should be genuine with a few pressing forward from out deep.

ALL TOO SOON (3) failed to fire a shot last start, however her first up effort was very good and a return to that level of form should see her very hard to beat. Will have no concerns with the wet track and the step up to 1900m also suits. Happy to be forgiving of her last start flop.

LUSKINTYRE LASS (4) took a good step forward behind Nettoyer last start and only looks to have to repeat that level of performance to be right in the finish again. DOMED (9) is trending the right way and should be close to her top racing fourth up, while HARMATTAN (6) continues to race well.

Form Preview

The Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained mare Semari took her record to six wins from 11 starts in stepping up in class for her first stakes win here. She settled in seventh place, one off the rails, improved nicely (deep) nearing the home turn, challenged at the 200m and fought too well to score by a half-length. I'm A Princess had a good trip from her inside barrier (1) racing in third place, on the rails. She got a split to challenge at the 200m and then battled on well under 56kg for second after appearing to have had every chance. All Too Soon raced in seventh place (on the rails), switched across heels at the 200m and made late ground for third in a sound effort at her third run back. Godolphin's Harmattan was a handy fourth to the home turn, looked a threat when she challenged at the 200m and then battled on quite well for fourth, beaten two lengths.
