Noel Pascoe made a BRC life member

3 minute read

Noel Pascoe, one of Australia's best known racing photographers, has been made a life member of the Brisbane Racing Club.

Veteran racing photographer Noel Pascoe has joined an elite group by being made a life member of the Brisbane Racing Club.

Pascoe is a member of one of Australia's best known racing families with his father Al and brother Barry also noted photographers.

In a ceremony at Eagle Farm on Saturday, Pascoe was given his life membership to recognise his 72 years of service in Brisbane racing.

"Noel was only eight years old when he started work taking photographs at the start of races at Eagle Farm, Doomben and Albion Park," BRC chairman Neville Bell said.

"He still works every Saturday at the races for Racing Queensland and is always available to help all clubs."

Pascoe said it was an honour to be given the life membership and he has enjoyed every minute of his working life.

"I reckon it is nearly 30 years since I missed a race meeting in Brisbane on a Saturday," he said.
