The quality comes to the top in the Tips and Race Preview for the 2019 All Aged Stakes at Randwick on Saturday.

Pierata deserves a G1 win and is $5 in the 2019 All Aged Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on Saturday.

2019 ALL AGED STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Easily the main highlight of the afternoon with this year's Group 1 All Aged Stakes. Expect an even tempo over the 1400m journey.

PIERATA (3) was below his best in the TJ Smith Stakes last start, however his effort prior when narrowly beaten in the Galaxy was very good and a return to that level of form should see him very hard to beat. Berry sticks and he should be strong late.

OSBORNE BULLS (2) was no match for Santa Ana Lane last start, but his performance still held merit and he obviously holds strong claims on best form. The inside draw a negative though.

D'BAI (6) the big query runner. All reports are very good from the stable and he is trending the right way.

Form Preview

After three placings previously at Group 1, Pierata broke through for a deserved victory at elite level here. He settled nicely for Tommy Berry in sixth place (with cover), before moving up on turning for home. He dashed to the front on passing the 200m and then went on to win well and in a quick time (1:20.64). The favourite Osborne Bulls settled back in ninth place, on the rails, from his inside barrier (1). He got along the inner rounding the home turn, challenged at the 100m and then battled on well for second. Siege Of Quebec raced in seventh place, improved (between runners) nearing the home turn, got into the clear at the 200m and the came with a good late run to take third. Champagne Cuddles had a nice trip in fifth place on the rails from her good barrier (2). She was shuffled back a bit at the home turn, got into clear running at the 200m and then battled on gamely for fourth, beaten a length.
