Racing Queensland has added the Listed Princess Stakes, one of the races cancelled at Doomben on Saturday, to Sunday's Sunshine Coast program.
The last two races at Doomben on Saturday were cancelled due to rain and track conditions.
The same field and barrier draws for the $125,000 Princess Stakes have been retained and the scratchings have been reinstated.
The race will be run as the last (Race 9) on the program over 1600m at 5:27pm.
The decision to reschedule the Princess Stakes to the Sunshine Coast meeting was made following extensive consultation with the Australian Trainers Association and the trainers with horses engaged in the feature race for 3YO fillies.
Racing Queensland has advised connections who choose not to start their horse in the rescheduled race will not incur any feature race acceptance fees.
Additionally the connections of all horses denied the opportunity to race at Doomben due to the abandonment will be compensated under the auspices of the RQ Abandoned Race Meeting Policy.
RQ will also give consideration to the SEQ programs as a consequence of the racing opportunities lost as a result of the abandonment of the last race on the Doomben program, a Benchmark 85 Handicap.
