After her most promising performance on debut when she ran on strongly for second in the Kindergarten Stakes (Listed, 1100m) at this track on April 6, Libertini recorded a most impressive win dropping in class here. She began well but was trapped very deep from her wide barrier (12) and settled in sixth place before moving up well rounding the home turn. She dashed to the front at the 200m and then went on to score easily by just over three lengths in a quick time. She looks a classy filly with a bright future. The Brad Widdup-trained filly Akari settled back in tenth place, improved (deep) rounding the home turn and then ran on really well to take second in a promising effort on debut.
