In Her Time's owner-breeder Peter Brown has sold 50 per cent of the mare to former jockey Paul King’s Orbis Bloodstock for an undisclosed sum.

“Kris Lees will continue to train In Her Time but she will race in the Orbis colours,” Brown said.

“We will definitely be trying to secure a spot with her in The Everest at Randwick in October.”

In Her Time wasn’t suited by the heavy track when seventh to Redzel in last year’s The Everest.

In Her Time, a daughter of the Redoute’s Choice stallion Time Thief, is one of Australia’s most valuable race mares.

The six-year-old has won nine of her 25 starts and has earned prizemoney of $3,132,725.

She won her first G1 race in the 2018 ATC Galaxy (1100m) at Rosehill when prepared by her original trainer Ben Smith prior to his licence being suspended.

After her transfer to Lees she won the G1 Black Caviar Lightning (1000m) at Flemington in February before finishing sixth to Sunlight in the G1 Newmarket Handicap (1200m) at Flemington on March 9.

Orbis Bloodstock has been operating for only three years, identifying and acquiring bloodstock for clients in Australia and Asia.

The company’s success stories include sourcing the Hong Kong Derby and HK Classic Mile winner Furore for Hong Kong clients.
