West Australian mare Lady Cosmology was too speedy from the outside gate and scored a big win here, her third at stakes level and in a faster time than the Group 1 sprint. She was one of the first away and co-led early but past the 800m took over and led them around the last corner and into the straight. Inside the 300m she broke clear, established a good lead and never looked like relinquishing it, finishing a length up at the line. Miss Vixen sat midfield (rails) from the 800m, kept to the fence rounding into the straight, didn't get a run until inside the 200m then flew late for second. Lady Of Crebilly was fourth turning in, drove up to second at the 200m then held on quite well for third from Princess Of Queens, who finished well for fourth.
