Champion Australian jockey Kerrin McEvoy will head to Royal Ascot in high spirits after landing the first winner of his English stint at Doncaster.
McEvoy rode the Charlie Appleby-trained Sacred Dance to victory at Doncaster. It was only his second ride since he arrived and his first winner in Great Britain in three years.
McEvoy has three rides on the first day of Royal Ascot on Tuesday including Houtzen in the G1 King's Stand Stakes. He has five rides on Wednesday and a more on Thursday and Friday.
James McDonald wil kick off his Royal Ascot campaign with two rides on Tuesday and has eight bokings to follow through the week.
