2019 TATTERSALL'S CUP – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Etah James and Travistee can roll forward with It Ain't All Honey also handy. VOW AND DECLARE (9) chased hard when runner up in the Queensland Derby last start. Taking on more seasoned stayers but his last effort suggested he will run this out. Comes in well at the weights. Winning chance.

MISS ADMIRATION (5) settled last but kept coming for sixth in the Brisbane Cup. She should relish this distance and will be at her peak fourth up. Each way chance. BIG DUKE (1) carries a big weight but he was good when third in the Brisbane Cup and has good results at the longer journeys. Could be ready to strike.

OUR LIBRETTO (6) and SIN TO WIN (7) are others that worked home well in the Brisbane Cup and both are worth including in exotics.

Lazy Yak Tattersall's Cup (G3)

WT: 54.0kg Type: OPEN

he Danny O'Brien-trained Vow And Declare followed his good second in the Queensland Derby (Gr 1, 2400m) here on June 8 with a very solid staying performance in beating older rivals over 3000m here. He was ridden patiently by Glen Boss back in a distant sixth place, many lengths behind the tearaway leaders (Etah James and Travistee). He improved nearing the 600m, went to the front at the 200m and then drew away to win impressively. Big Duke raced back in ninth place, commenced his move coming to the home turn, he went to fourth at the 200m and then kept running on well under his top weight (60kg) for second. Our Libretto raced back in fifth place, improved along the rails at the home turn and then kept battling on well to take third with Sin To Win holding on for (5.7 lengths) fourth.
