RANDWICK PARLAY

RACE 3 (5) High Power : Ready to put in the best effort of his current prep after two strong performances in this grade over 1500m and 1600m at this course where he caught the eye with his closing efforts in strong form races. Getting out to 2000m is sure to suit, he has won third-up in the past and the soft track conditions are certainly in his favour. Like the move to retain a jockey who has ridden him in two previous wins.

RACE 6 (8) Connemara : Consistent mare followed up two solid trials with an excellent first-up second over 1200m in heavy ground at this course on June 8 and is certain to have taken benefit from that hitout. She has the runs on the board over this course and distance and don't see her wide draw being any great disadvantage on the affected track. Good value in this field.

RACE 9 (9) November Man : Indications are he will stay home for this event in preference to a start at Eagle Farm, a strong lead to his chances as he is well placed in a race that sets up well for this strong finisher due to the abundant number of speed runners. Has not missed a place in five starts since he resumed in March including a swamping win over this course and distance two runs back before going under narrowly over 1100m on the Kensington track when he was burdened by 60.5kg on a slow surface. Down 4.5kg and back to 1000m should work well for him.

TRIAL WATCH REPORT

NOTED TRIAL RUNNERS – June 22-24

RANDWICK SATURDAY: Almanzora (R4); Deity (R9)

EAGLE FARM SATURDAY: Kordia (R2); Egg Tart (R8)

EGG TART (Rosehill June 7): Surprised to see this dual G1 winner preparing for winter racing but as she is a rising 6YO it seems they may be giving her a last campaign before she heads to stud. She only had short break after she last raced in March and her classy last 400m sprint to win her 1030m heat indicates she still has plenty offer.

SCONE MONDAY: Just Jessie (R1); Vici (R1); Mary Magpie (R2); Rifles 9R2); Amplified (R3).

RECENT TRIAL WATCH WINNERS: Perigord; In Lighten Me; Misteed; Rule The World; Martha Heights; Terminology; Funstar; Enforcement; Snips; Nostro Re; Savvy Ken; Deprive; Roman Wolf; Grey Lion; Aim For Perfection; Positive Peace; Exceedance.
