RACE 1

SHAMARMAN (2) – Third to Well Deserved at his last run. Keeps improving. Will be running on late. Worth taking a chance on him.
DON’T WORRY (4) – Ran his best race to-date at his last start when just nabbed late by Dominic after trying to lead from pillar to post. May elect for similar tactics here. Keep in mind.
MY MIRACLE (1) – Down in grade. Gets a senior rider back on. Improved run expected.
ONE WORLD (6) – Blinkers seem to have done the trick on him. Drawn wide again, but if he can come across early, he may prove hard to catch.

RACE 2

RAPIDASH (4) - Drawn to sit closer from a better barrier and should be finding the line strongly over the 1400m. Looks very hard to beat with Michael Rodd to ride.
ACCUMULATION (2) - Struggling to win but will be suited back onto the turf and can let down with decent finish on his day. Chance if in the right mood.
AMAZING CHOICE (6) - Improving type from the Mark Walker yard and gets Benny Woodworth. The 1400m doesn't look much of an issue, will be in the finish.
MAJESTIC (3) - Has had a few chances, place hope.

RACE 3

GEB WARRIOR (8) – Ran a cracking third first-up from a six-month layoff. Will strip fitter for this. Go close.
COUNTRY BOSS (1) – On his last-start six-length romp with a pick-up rider, it would be hard to tip against him. The opposition looks tougher, but he’s still a leading hope in this.
SOLDADO (4) – Best suited by frontrunning tactics. Don’t rule him out if he gets away with cheap sectionals.
WHY NOT (2) – Temperamental horse who needs to have things his way. The 1000m was too sharp at his last outing. This is more up his alley. Will probably drop back at the rear from the wide barrier. Consider.

RACE 4

TIGER FORCE (9) – Was a letdown at his last start. Maybe he handles Polytrack better. If so, then he should be a factor in this.
O’REILLY STAR (1) – Made some ground late to run fifth to Salamence, a recent impressive victor in Class 4 company, at his last start. Drops back in class and should have a strong say in this.
DOMINIC (8) – Shed maiden status as expected at his last run. Has trained on and can keep up the momentum now that the winning confidence is there.
HEPHAESTUS (12) – Scored two in a row. Looks well in on weights. Top three finish well within his reach.

RACE 5

IMPLEMENT (7) – Has been knocking on the door in recent efforts. Performed well last start in what looks to be a stronger affair than this. Expect bold showing with even luck.
STAR EMPIRE (2) – Bounced back to winning form last start with an impressive victory. Well drawn to get an economical run yet again and is capable of contesting the business end with a repeat dose.
MIGHTY EMPEROR (3) – Has been racing well in recent outings. Drawn to do no work and will appreciate the booking of Michael Rodd. Capable of figuring on best efforts.
SUPER SMART (6) – Drops back into this grade after a respectable effort in the Singapore Guineas. Will have to work overtime in the early stages to get the right run from the draw but commands respect in a race of this nature.

RACE 6

THOTH WARRIOR (4) – Third race in the space of four weeks. Trainer Bruce Marsh is banking on his race-fitness to keep him going, especially after his encouraging placings at his last two runs over the course and distance. Won’t be far from the action when the whips are cracking.
PARKER (11) – Trainer Bruce Marsh holds the aces here. Should Thoth Warrior falter, he has another good chance here, even if the awkward alley does not help his cause. Stable quinella on the cards.
YELLOW JADE HORSE (10) – Plugged on well for second to Metagross two weeks ago. Not without claims here.
MAKE U FAMOUS (8) – Badly checked in the straight last time out. Blinkers on. Still winless after 21 starts, but on his closing third two runs back, he can’t be ignored in this mediocre field.

RACE 7

BEAU GESTE (4) – After a brilliant debut, found the Group 3 Silver Bowl a little too rich. This is a touch easier. Can make amends.
JOMO (1) – Bounced back to his best last time out. Horse who needs to have things his way. In fine fettle on the tracks. Chances enhanced if he can run close to the speed.
STUNNING CAT (7) – Mixes his form but when on song, can measure up to this. Not much of him and seems to be better off at lower end of the handicap. Shades off. Place claims on best form.
CROWN GIFT (5) – Did not run a bad race first-up from a break. Will relish the extra 200m. Not out of this.

RACE 8

SACRED DON (3) – Scored hard-fought win last time out. Shoulders big mass but looks to be a progressive sort who can still make his presence felt here.
RED CLAW (4) – Always showed ability but has taken a while to hit his straps. Gets on well with apprentice Shafrizal Saleh. Looks suited here and another dose wouldn’t surprise.
LONGHU (1) – Looked a chance at the 300m last time out but he peaked on his run to finish third to Red Claw. Commands respect again.
SMART INVESTMENT (6) – Tends to wind up too late. Michael Rodd knows the horse, having won on him on the same course and distance. Has drawn outermost alley and will probably leave it late.
