RACE 6: (5) WU GOK : Can only see improvement in this genuine middle distance performer after his solid second in heavy conditions over 2000m at this course on June 22 when having his first start for 63 days that came after a consistent Queensland campaign through March and April where he recorded two wins and three placings from 2200m to 2400m. Very genuine under all conditions and confident he will respond well to the positive riding switch from an apprentice to the in-form Blake Shinn.
RACE 8 (9) LJUNGBERG : Ready to peak after two trials and two solid efforts since resuming from a four months break with the advantage of a good draw and 2kg claim for the talented Sam Clenton. That sees him well placed as he stays in the same class but is down 1.5kg from his last start when a close third over 1200m at Rosehill when he again showed his liking for soft ground.
RACE 9 (9) MISTEED : Attracted good support and duly delivered over 1250m at Canterbury on June 19 when she impressed with a sharp closing sprint to land a soft win on the affected track after being badly held up for clear air. Appeals as a genuine improver and should measure up to this stronger company as she tumbles 6.5kg in weight due to the astute move to take advantage of Brock Ryan's 3kg allowance.
