The trainer's title is a race in two with popular local trainer Natalie Jarvis just one win in front of the fast-finishing Robert and Luke Price stable.

The jockeys' title is also a close fight with Jess Taylor one win in front of Winona Costin with Nick Heywood next on the table two wins back.

The Nowra-based Price partnership landed a treble at the last Moruya meeting on June 28 to get within a win of Jarvis.

Both stables have shown how keen they are to win the title by entering big teams for Monday's meeting.

Jarvis has eight runners while the Price team has 10.

Robert Price has won the Moruya training title a number of times while Jarvis has risen to the top of the local ranks since she moved to Moruya in 2017.

The Moruya Horse of the Year title is also an open contest.

Sonnets, trained at Moruya by Lynda Bundy, needs to win the fifth race on the program to take the lead in the Horse of the Year pointscore.

The filly is in contention after a strong second at Moruya two weeks ago but still needs a win if she is to take the title from the Jarvis-trained Malachi Crunch.

Malachi Crunch is the current leader for Horse of the Year title and is engaged in the final race of the day.

The Price stable has two runners in the final race where Winona Costin is riding Twirling Moss, setting the stage for a possible grandstand finish to the three titles.
