Magic Millions is calling for entries for six auctions scheduled for 2020, headed by the season-opening Gold Coast Yearling Sale in January.

Managing director Barry Bowditch said Magic Millions is looking forward to building on the momentum achieved this year when sales exceeded a record $387 million.

"The impressive growth of Magic Millions sales in 2019 began with amazing support from our vendors," Bowditch said.

"Our achievements this year are a direct outcome of their ongoing trust and patronage.

"It was a record-breaking sales season across Australia in 2019 and Magic Millions sales grew at a faster rate than other auctions.

"The Magic Millions' bloodstock team will shortly start inspections as they work closely with vendors to put together the highest-quality catalogues for 2020.

"Our business is continually evolving and we are focused on progression with innovation aimed to service all sale requirements.

Magic Millions will again host its $10 million Gold Coast race day in January with yearlings sold at its six sales eligible for the lucrative event for the duration of their careers.

Entries close on Friday August 9 for all sales except the National Yearling Sale.

National Sale entries do not close until March 13.

"It's an exciting time to be starting at Swettenham, with the strongest roster of stallions on offer since their glory days," Brown said.

"The line-up is going to be extremely popular with new sires Akeed Mofeed and Sioux Nation and there is great anticipation around the arrival of the first foals by Highland Reel."
