ROSEHILL PARLAY

RACE 2 (5) Haut Brion Her : On a program dominated by short priced favourites this exciting mare should be your standout for multi bets as she seeks her fourth successive win. She is going from strength to strength with strong back to back wins since resuming and she could not be better placed to extend the sequence dropping 2kg off her last start win over 1200m at Randwick when she beat subsequent winner Misteed by a hollow 2.3 lengths. Should get all the favours again in a small field hit by scratchings.

RACE 5 (5) Lucicello: Impressive grey filly faces her big test against some good winners from last season but she arrives in brilliant form with the advantage of race fitness after showing real class to put away lesser fields at her last two starts with authority. The feature of her wins has been her sharp acceleration from off the pace with her sectional times stamping her as a filly destined for better things. She's the one to beat in her current form.

RACE 8 (8) Oxford Tycoon: Brenton Avdulla owes the supporters of this honest sprinter after his luckless ride over 1100m at this course two weeks ago when all he needed was clear running over the last 200m to claim the win. Races well at this course and the advantage this time is he meets a similar field with no weight penalty from a draw that should give him clear running when he needs it. The each way odds are appealing.

TRIAL WATCH REPORT

NOTED TRIAL RUNNERS – August 10-12

ROSEHILL SATURDAY: Alizee (R4); Invincible Gem (R4); Le Romain 9R4); Vegadaze (R4); Anaheed (R5); Athiri (R5); Cardiff (R5); Dawn Passage (R5); Superium (R5); All Too Soon (R6); Dawn Dawn (R8)

Alizee (Randwick July 30): Simply too classy for her rivals in the first open heat over 900m on the course proper. We know she prefers being on top of the ground but she had no problems coping with the soft going as she trucked to the line under a big hold from Hugh Bowman in much quicker time (54.32; 35.00) than the other Group heat, showing that she has come on in the right manner since her first-up trial on July 19. Obviously ready to run to her best when she resumes.

Anaheed (Randwick July 30): Had no trouble putting away some handy rivals in her 1050m heat on the inside grass, noting that she laps up affected ground having recorded two of her three wins last season in soft and heavy going. Her quality was evident as she picked up the leader with plenty in hand over the last 200m, putting a good margin on them late and running the quickest closing sectional of the 2YO heats over the trip (64.43; 36.00).

Superium (Rosehill July 19): Winner of two country starts including the Wellington Boot and clearly has the ability to measure up in city company judging by his solid 900m trial effort. There was no urgency early as he settled in the back half but it was hard to miss his strong gallop to the line over the last 200m when Glen Boss had him under tight restraint. Ready to perform as he went on with it to win another trial in excellent style at Warwick Farm on July 26.

NEWCASTLE SATURDAY: Bullet Fly (R3); Nahab (R7); Famous (R8)

GOULBURN MONDAY: Baanone (R4)

RECENT TRIAL WATCH WINNERS: Super Oasis; Camp Rifle; Steel Diamond; Sangita; Unimpeded; Making Whoopee; C'est La Vie; Rambler Rebel; Lucicello; Escaped; Subedar; Savoury; Miss Invincible.
