Tips and Race Preview for the 2019 Toy Show Quality at Randwick on Saturday show it’s anyone’s race.

We've landed on Meryl at good odds around $10 in the 2019 Toy Show Quality (1100m) at Randwick on Saturday.

2019 TOY SHOW QUALITY – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

A capacity field is set to face the starter in this year's Group 3 Toy Show Quality with Golden Slipper winner Kiamichi one of likely front-runners in a race with good speed on paper.

MERYL (9) went to the paddock in very good form and remains a big watch fresh for Lee Curtis having missed the Autumn. Two trials in the lead up have been rock solid and she has trialled very well in the lead up. Down in the weights and shapes as one of the hardest to beat.

KIAMICHI (2) faces a stiff task taking on the older horses, but has the talent to overcome it. MIZZY (4) was very good last preparation and has to be kept safe fresh in her return, while DYSLEXIC (3) also holds solid claims with JMac booked.

Form Preview

After a number of sound performances in Group class, Mizzy broke through for a good win here, her second win in 14 starts. She enjoyed a nice trip from her good barrier (3) racing in fifth place on the rails, went through on the inner rounding the home turn, took the lead at the 200m and then went on to score comfortably. Godolphin-raced mare Soothing raced in seventh place, tracked through on the rails on straightening but was held up at the 200m before running on well for second when she gained clear running in a good second-up effort. My Xpression settled back in 11th place, went between runners from the 300m and kept making good ground for third in nice effort at her second run back while Dyslexic was last at the home turn before running on well for (2.1 lengths) fourth. The Golden Slipper Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) winner Kiamichi settled midfield and deep and just battled on after a wide trip for (4.9 lengths) tenth at her first run since April.
