The filly was nominated for the Highway at Royal Randwick this Saturday but a big weight and tricky gate forced a rethink from Trainer Joe Cleary regarding her first-up assignment. Nick Olive's Acton Shale looms as the main danger in the Capital Veneering Benchmark 65 Handicap.

A day of blue skies and good fields looks to be highlighted by the TAB Federal Benchmark 70 Handicap. Major players loom as last start winner O'Princess for Luke Pepper and Tyler Schiller, and Ron Weston & John Nisbet's Stratum's Rose to be ridden by Kayla Nisbet. O'Princess is coming off back to back wins including taking out last meetings corresponding race, the TAB Federal. Stratum's Rose's form reads impressively coming off a last start placing in a Highway at Rosehill.

The Stratum mare also won her last start on the synthetic Acton track. Co-trainer John Nisbet remains quietly confident stating that "she's a tough mare. She's ran a really fast time on the synthetic before and we're really happy with how she's going". Gypsy Miss, also for Luke Pepper, will be looking to return to the form that saw the mare win 5 on the trot.

The quadrella kicks off with the Infinite Joinery Class 1 Handicap in which reigning premier Trainer Nick Olive will be hoping the penny has dropped for last start winner, Flight Commander. The gelding will have to overcome the Emma & Lucy Longmire trained Fairy Beast who will appreciate the drop in weight.

Local Trainers look hold all of the cards in the final race on the meet, the Fuse Joinery Maiden Handicap. Nick Olive's Glenleigh Lad and Todd Smart's Bubbler look closer and closer to getting off the mark with each start.

With a forecast of 14 and sunny, Friday shapes as a perfect day for racing. This race day will be the final meeting on the Acton track this year as spring rapidly approaches. The first meeting on the turf for this season will be Sponsors Race Day on September 6th.
