Thoroughbred Park hosts its first meeting of the Spring this Friday 6th of September.

Fittingly, racing moves back to the lush of the course-proper. It shapes as a big day at Thoroughbred Park with a number of runners in the TAB Federal looking to press their case for a slot in The Kosciuszko. The lightly-raced gelding Floki, who is yet to miss the podium after four starts looks a great chance in gaining a start in the $1.3 million-dollar race.

Trainer Danny Williams remains optimistic about his chances stating "He's a happy horse and he's come up nicely after a jump-out yesterday.". Joe Cleary's Concrete and Matthew Dale's Coup De Main would both be on the radar of slot owners if they were to impress.

Hoop Brodie Loy will donate all riding fees earned from this Friday's meeting to the National Jockeys Trust in memory of friend and fellow jockey, Mikaela Claridge, who tragically lost her life at Cranbourne last week. The Canberra Racing Club would like to send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of both Mikaela and Melanie Tyndall who lost her life at Darwin on the weekend. Stallion Eurozone will be parading in the Thoroughbred Park mounting yard between races 4 and 5 this Friday. The sire of Krone and Mystery Love stands at Bellereve Racing and Breeding, located 15 minutes out of Canberra. The son of Northern Meteor will stand for a fee of $7,700 for the 2019 season.

Those with Kosciuszko sweep tickets won't lose interest after the TAB Federal with major players Noble Boy and Handle The Truth having barrier trials after the last. Noble Boy ($4.60) sits second in the TAB Kosciuszko market.
