Popular trainers Robbie Griffiths and Bruce Purcell are making headway in their recoveries from serious health issues.
The Victorian Trainers' Association released a positive bulletin on Robbie Griffiths as he continues to recover from brain surgery.
Griffiths is in the middle of a six-week process and surgeons are happy with his progress.
He is now at home with hopes rising that he will make a full recovery and will return to full duties with his stable.
Bruce Purcell is also on the mend after sustaining a number of serious injuries, including swelling on the brain when he was trampled by a horse eight weeks ago.
Purcell suffered multiple bone fractures to his face, head and body.
He was receiving treatment at a rehab centre in Caulfield but a setback saw him return to Alfred Hospital where his prognosis is good.
