Going straight to the front, Dreamforce controlled the race and kept running to win easily.

Winning Trainer: John Thompson

On the horse: "He's the best I've had. Such a professional, a gun horse, does everything right and a pleasure to train."

On his group form: "He's a real racehorse. He begins well, gives you 100% every start, it's his 11th win, he's so honest. You can't install that in horses. He's sound, he eats, he's a trainer's dream."

On the next run: "All roads lead to the Epsom as his main goal. He was better suited today and Nash was terrific today. I thought he'd suit him and he's flying. I think he's gone better than he ever has. He'll go to the George Main and then the Epsom."

Winning Jockey: Nash Rawiller

On the win: "That was terrific. That was my first win in a Group race since I have been back too so it's very exciting."

On the stable: "Tremendous effort by the stable. They have been in red hot form and they have given me a great go since I have been back. John gives you a lot of confidence when you are riding for him. He sends them around nice and fit and puts them on the pace and they do the race. Full credit goes to him. He's doing a great job."

Beaten Jockeys:

Jason Collett (Life Less Ordinary): "Went back from the gate, worked home good."

James McDonald (Te Akau Shark): "He's run a really good race. Hit the line strong. Pity the track is in leaderish condition."

Hugh Bowman (Kolding): "Good first up run."

Jay Ford (Mister Sea Wolf): "He's returned in really good order. He's closed off strong, just a day where it's difficult to make ground."

Josh Parr (Le Juge): "Copped a nasty check at the half mile and didn't regather from that."

Luke Currie (Archedemus): "Presented like a chance on the corner but probably just ran out of puff. He needed it."

Brenton Avdulla (Invincible Gem): "She was there till about the 100m, probably better off when she can get a trail from a better draw."

Glen Boss (Mantastic): "He went well."

Kathy O'Hara (Kaonic): "Not a bad run. Beaten for speed early but closed off well the last furlong."

Kerrin McEvoy (Star Of The Seas): "Bit of a wide run early. Ended up getting a little bit of cover but we were ultimately chasing the leader. He presented and then just levelled the last bit. A bit of cut in the ground is going to suit him."

Tim Clark (Penske): "Probably a bit outclassed, needs to go down in grade, up in distance and probably a wide draw."

Tommy Berry (Eckstein): "She's run terrific. She's in a rich vein of form and it's been very hard to catch the leaders today so she's done a good job to run in the placings."

Having his first start since second in the Doncaster Mile (Gr 1, 1600m) at this track on April 6, Dreamforce staged another very good front-running performance in winning here. After a smart beginning, he immediately went to the front. He then set quite a good tempo before stepping up the pace from the 600m. He held a clear advantage at the 300m and was not threatened from that point to score impressively by three lengths, dashing home his last 600m in 33.89. Classy New Zealander Te Akau Shark settled in seventh place on the rails. He deeper and into clear running halfway down the straight and then finished well for second in a very good Australian debut. Eckstein began well and raced in sixth place before improving nearing the home turn. She then battled on well to take third in another very honest performance. Star Of The Seas raced in eighth place, one off the rails, before running on well in the straight for (3.4 lengths) fourth in a good first-up effort. Kolding settled in fifth place on the rails and then fought on well in restricted room to finish fifth, beaten three and half-lengths, in a good first-up run.
