RANDWICK PARLAY

RACE 1 (2) PANDEMIC: Exciting Godolphin prospect is going for three from three after showing high talent to win his first two starts. Came off his easy debut win at Wyong to put away some handy rivals over 1100m on the Kensington track on August 17 when he unleashed a brilliant burst over the last 200m in fast time. This will be a sterner test with a sharp rise in weight but the step up to 1300m looks an ideal progression for him.

RACE 7 (12) UNFORGOTTEN: High class mare won this race last year and happy to side with her against the favourite Avilius at her early odds after her pleasing first-up effort in the Winx Stakes (1400m) at this course two weeks ago. There was only a length between them in the Winx and this mare holds just as much scope for improvement, especially as she has missed a place only once in five starts over the Randwick mile.

RACE 9 (9) DEALMAKER: Wide gate is a concern but this talented 4YO is well placed second up after resuming with a strong surge into third place over 1400m at this course on August 24. He may have won only once in 15 starts but he has filled minor placings in nine races and rates highly in this class on his efforts in high quality Group races last season.

CANTERBURY August 27: SUNLIGHT was having her second trial and showed she had made further improvement from her earlier win on August 12. She did it well within herself leading all the way over 1000m in the good time of 59.23 on a soft track.

WARWICK FARM August 23: Everest contender PIERATA was the star, proving a class above in the black type heat where he tracked the leader before taking control over the last 400m and cruising to the line in great style. He's obviously gone from his first trial and this effort indicates he is just where Greg Hickman wants him at this stage of his preparation.

ROSEHILL August 20: What a difference blinkers make to REDZEL. With the gear back on he was his old self showing all his natural speed to lead NATURE STRIP easily in the first 1000m heat on the course proper and doing it easily in sharp time (58.10; 34.90). NATURE STRIP was excellent as he settled kindly two lengths behind Redzel and closed easily under no pressure to be beaten only a half length and looking the stronger through the line. They had more than four lengths on the others.

SUNLIGHT (Randwick August 12): Arguably Australia's best sprinter oozed class as she easily put paid to her rivals in the 900m heat on the course proper, running a quick closing sectional under no pressure (52.56; 34.11). Great way to start her spring preparation.

RECENT TRIAL WATCH WINNERS: Magnificently; Head Spins; Enchanted Heart; Greyworm; Exceedance; Asiago; Full Recognition; Just Thinkin; Fiery Red; Samadoubt; Mizzy; Libertini; Stellar Impact; Maggie Miss; Lakia; Yao Dash; Girl Tuesday; Californiadeepshot.
