American Pharaoh Filly Sells For $US8.2 million

A filly by US Triple Crown champion and Coolmore shuttle sire American Pharoah has sold for $US8.2 million at Keeneland in Kentucky.

Mandy Pope's Whisper Hill Farm paid the sale stopping price for the colt during the third day of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

The fily is half-sister to G1 winners Beholder (Henny Hughes), Mendelssohn (Scat Daddy) and Into Mischief (Harlan's Holiday).

The fily is out of the Tricky Creek mare Leslie's Lady and was consigned on behalf of her breeder Clarkland Farm.

Clarkland Farm purchased Leslie's Lady for $100,000 at Keenealnd in 2006.
