Overnight weather will determine the fate of Thursday's Kembla Grange race meeting.
Racing NSW stewards conducted a track inspection on Wednesday afternoon after the course received more than 60mls of rain since Tuesday.
They found areas of surface water in the home straight and resolved to conduct another inspection at 6am on Thursday.
The stewards advised that with an unfavourable forecast of more rain overnight the race meeting is in some doubt.
The last two races at Warwick Farm on Wednesday were abandoned after jockeys expressied concern with a deteriorating track surface due to continuing heavy rain through the meeting.
The Newcastle Cup meeting on Friday is not in doubt with a Soft 6 rating issued on Wednesday afternoon after 55mls of rain in the previous 24 hours.
The early track rating for the Randwick meeting on Saturday is a Heavy 9 but could improve with the weather expected to clear by Friday.
