2019 NATURALISM STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Wolfe will press on and there should be pressure around him for handy spots. SUPER TITUS (11) won the lead up and did it in good style. Looks to have plenty more to come based on that win and 2000m is going to be ideal in what is no doubt an early spring target for him. Can stamp his ticket to the Caulfield Cup.

Stablemate SIKANDARABAD (5) fits a similar mould. Third up and ready to peak out to 2000m off a pair of very solid efforts. Liked the latest and the betting edge may well sit with him. WOLFE (14) was a fail on the heavy last time but if the rain stays away here he can quickly bounce back. Caulfield should suit him on speed.

Terrific return from SUPERNOVA (15) and he can come here and run well on the back of that. STEEL PRINCE (4) also arrives off a strong return. Warmed right up late there and 2000m is going to suit ideally now.

Four times Group placed last spring, Brimham Rocks broke through for his maiden stakes win in a mild upset here, his fifth career win. He settled midfield but three wide early and was kept wide past the 1400m then a width nearer the fence approaching the 1000m. Inside the 800m he was handier, in behind the leading group and rounded into the home straight four deep. Straightening, he caught the leaders then took over, raced clear at the 200m and was in command to the line by a length and a quarter. So You Win sat midfield (rails) from the 1200m, hugged the fence from the 800m, kept to the fence turning in and ran on quite well for second. Sikandarabad co-led at the 600m, led alone turning in and tried to kick clear at the 300m then battled away to hold third from Gallic Chieftain who was doing his best under a hard ride to run into fourth.
