RACE 4 (3) GEM SONG: Hard to miss his surging finish for third behind the boom mare Arcadia Queen in the G2 Theo Marks Stakes (1300m) when the stewards took an interest into the lack of urgency from his rider at a critical stage of the race. Needless to say it was flashing light effort and points to him building on his impressive record through the spring. This trip looks the ideal step for him as he flies second up with two wins from three attempts and has won two of his four starts at this course.

RACE 5 (7) DYSLEXIC: Case can be made that she should have gone close to winning both starts since resuming as she really was never fuly tested in both races that set up well for a big crack at this classy mares race. She's very good on her home track and the weight scale with her edge in race fitness makes her the value bet in such an evenly balanced field.

RACE 8 (2) SHADOW HERO: Run of the race when resuming in the Dulcify Stakes (1500m) at this course two weeks ago and will be strongly favoured to turn the tables on the winner Just Thinkin' over this extra trip. His trainer Mark Newnham is building an excellent record with classy 3YOs and this gelding is certain to keep improving as he goes up in distance.
