After getting away with some easy sectionals early, Stampede got rolling half a mile out to win the 2019 Colin Stephen Quality at Rosehill on Saturday.
Once Adam Hyeronimus upped the tempo, he got all the rivals off the bit and chasing and they were no match.

Winning Trainer: Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott (Adrian interviewed)
On running out 2400m: "That was probably aided by a well rated ride by Adam today.
"He got into a nice rhythm, was able to get all the favours in front and rated him beautifully so was able to pick up when he needed to and show a good turn of foot over the trip so pleasing to see."
On the ride: "Adam gets on with him so well when he can just get out there and rate him kindly.
"We know he's got that turn of speed and now that we can see him stay that trip we've got a few more options going forward."
On a Metropolitan start: "We'll leave that open without committing to it just yet.
"It would mean going three weeks in a row but when he's racing like that it's hard to ignore it.
"It's been a proven path so it would be hard to pass."
Winning Jockey: Adam Hyeronimus
On the win: "He's a pretty relaxed horse, the question was the distance with the weight."
"I wanted to lead, he goes better when he leads, he just relaxes so well."
"It's funny I feel like I'm going slow, I probably was, but he doesn't touch the bridle at all, such a pleasant horse to ride."
On running out the trip: "It was good to see him get the job done today, he's been racing well, I had my doubts over 2400m, but that is what Gai [Waterhouse] does best, she proves everyone wrong, she's the master."
Where to next: "I'm not sure if he heads towards the Metropolitan, but he's racing in fantastic form, he's going well and wherever he goes, he's going to be competitive.
Beaten Jockeys:
Josh Parr (Destiny's Kiss): "Not so great. I think the time might have come - he's lost his will to compete."
Rachel King (Maurus): "A really good run today. He's definitely back to his best and hopefully he can continue on with it this prep."
Jay Ford (Blue Breeze): "He was poor the other day in the Wyong Cup and he was poor again today. I think he has some issues."
Brenton Avdulla (Master Of Arts): "He gave me a lovely ride. He tried hard but the winner was just too good for him."
Tommy Berry (Gayatri): "They went way too slow for him today; it turned into a sprint home. I think maybe I should have got on my bike a little bit earlier. She's going fine."
Robbie Dolan (Dabiyr): "He had every chance. You'll probably see the best of him when he's leading or outside the leader. He has just a massive stride and they went too steady for me today to get him into a nice rhythm. He finished off okay."
Glen Boss (Mrs Madrid): "She tried hard but she's probably not up to that grade."
Andrew Adkins (Curata Princess): "I got up on the speed today. She faded from the half-mile - disappointing."
