A spot in the $1.3 million Kosciuszko has opened up after double misfortune for the Danny Williams stable.

The Goulburn trainer had two slots in the race for country-trained horses on the same program as the $14 million Everest on October 19.

But Don't Give a Damn will be his only runner after She Knows suffered a career-ending injury at Caulfield on Sunday.

Her suspensory injury follows the sudden death of stablemate Floki from a viral illness.

"sad news again, SHE KNOWS injured herself yesterday at Caulfield. She will be ok in time bit will now be retired to stud duties when right.

She has been our Winx & we love her. SHE KNOWS has given us plenty of joy & excitement throughout her short career. She'll make a lovely mum" Williams said on Twitter.

Slot holder Les Howarth will now look for another representative after deciding not to exercise his option with any other horses in the Williams stable.

The Jenny Graham-trained Victorem is the $4 favourite to improve on his fifth last year.
