Invincibella would substantiate her form following a win. Can the 2019 Blazer Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on Saturday offer that again?

2019 BLAZER STAKES - RACE HISTORY AND BACKGROUND

The Blazer Stakes is a Group 2 race run under Set Weights and Penalty conditions for four year old and up mares at Flemington conducted by the Victoria Racing Club.

The Blazer Stakes is run over 1400m. It was first run in 1989 and was won by Lady Jess.

The Blazer Stakes is registered as the Rose Of Kingston Stakes after the Derby and Oaks winning filly. She was also the dam of Melbourne Cup winner Kingston Rule.

It has always been run around the 1400m race distance.

The Blazer Stakes was a Listed Race then upgraded to Group 3 from 1997 and a Group 2 from 2005.

Mares who run well here often do the same in the Myer Classic and/or Cantala Stakes.

The Blazer Stakes is worth $300,000 in 2019.

Notable winners of the Blazer Stakes include Invincibella (2018), Mosheen (2012), Palacio De Cristal (2010), Divine Madonna (2006), Sky Cuddle (2005), Hosannah (2002), Tickle My (2001), Chlorophyll (1996) and Excited Angel (1993).

The 2018 Blazer Stakes was won by Invincibella from Savatiano and Mamzelle Tess.
