Winning Trainer: Peter & Paul Snowden (Paul Snowden comments)
On winning on wet and dry ground: "He is pretty versatile. It is probably an asset that he has up his sleeve. He can handle those rain affected conditions. He has always been a nice quality colt in our bunch. He's put his hand up."
On leading: "I was a bit dubious at the start. He was a bit skewiff early and lit up a wee bit early. Took a little time to come back underneath him but he got that breather mid-race. He really found late which reversed the result first up. Fitness came against us first up."
On next run: "The Coolmore next run. No doubt a lot of these horses will be meeting each other again in three weeks. Just need to keep him ticking over."
On running up the straight: "It's unknown but he's a better horse with a sit I think. We did attack that race today to sit in the one by one. He jumped so well we gave that option to Tim to roll forward and use his speed. Once he harnesses that nervous energy we'll see a better performance."
Winning Jockey: Tim Clark
On the win and leading: "Showed good speed today, I spoke to Peter [Snowden] this morning and he just left it up to me."
"Ideally would have loved to have lobbed one-one or with a bit of cover."
"I just rode him like the best horse, I came and galloped him Tuesday morning and he went like a jet, I was pretty confident today."
On the horse: "If you look at his form, he's a horse that improved with every run last preparation."
"I knew the deeper into his preparation, the better he was going to be."
"Wasn't ideally suited leading, I think he'll be a better horse with cover and something to chase."
"He just showed he's got a bit of class about him, an important win for him."
"He's a group winning colt as a two and three-year-old now, so if he can knock a big one, he's worth plenty."
Beaten Jockeys:
Nash Rawiller (Microphone): "His last bit was good. I don't think he came here with his mind 100% on the job today. I'm sure the team will sort that out a little bit more as he goes along with his preparation. I was thrilled with his last 100m and we all know getting out to 1400m is his go. It was very encouraging."
Jason Collett (Accession): "He just didn't have the speed early. He worked home but the race was over by then."
Josh Parr (Standout): "Great effort from a very talented horse. He is exciting."
Brenton Avdulla (True Detective): "I was asked to ride him quiet with cover to find the line. I was disappointed with the way he finished off."
Jay Ford (Human Nature): "Talented horse but his mind is in other places. He overraced badly and left himself with no finishing effort."
Martin Harley (Dirty Work): "He ran well. I got a bit excited for a few strides. I think the trip is his maximum. Come back in trip and I think there is a good day in him. He is still a maiden but he won't be for long."
