Handle The Truth was given a beautiful ride by Nash Rawiller to land the big prize for country trained runners and was driven out to a one length win, his seventh win in 13 starts. He jumped away well then eased a shade to settle fifth, one off the fence. Still poised in fifth rounding into the home straight he then moved out four wide to challenge inside the 400m. Gathering momentum, he cruised up to be one of four across the track at the 200m then drove into the lead and they weren't going to catch him after that. Victorem was worse than midfield at the 800m, improved rounding into the home straight but was blocked until the 300m. He took a while to wind up once clear and was gaining on the winner late but too late. A super run from Bobbing who was last (rails) at the top of the straight and didn't get out until inside the 200m then flew for a close up third. Noble Boy was trapped, sixth last turning in and when clear tried hard the length of the straight for a close up fourth.
