Milestones loom for Tisani Tomso, Thompson

3 minute read

Veteran Tisani Tomso and apprentice Adin Thompson can reach milestones if they can combine to win at Eagle Farm.

A decision to lodge a late nomination for Tisani Tomso at Eagle Farm has given the iron horse and his jockey Adin Thompson chances to record milestones.

Tisani Tomso ran second at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday and was not an original nomination for the DSS Law Open Handicap (1200m) on Saturday.

But when nominations were extended trainer Kevin Kemp decided to lodge a late entry for the race.

"He pulled up really well after Sunday and it looks a perfect race for him on Saturday," Kemp said.

"He's drawn well and with Adin's claim he is nicely placed. Adin has ridden for us a bit at the provincials and I like his style."

Tisani Tomso will be having his 82nd start and will be chasing his 15th win which would move him past the $500,000 prize money milestone.

Thompson will also be chasing a milestone with his his first Saturday metropolitan win.

He started his metropolitan career last week and has three rides on Saturday.
