Three of the horses are targeting the inaugural $7.5 million Golden Eagle to be run over 1500m at Rosehill Gardens on November 2.

Never No More, prepared by leading Irish trainer Aidan O'Brien, Beat Le Bon for UK trainer Richard Hannon and another Irish runner I Am Superman, trained by Michael O'Callaghan, have been set for the Golden Eagle.

The other import Antilles is also trained by Aiden O'Brien and will be aimed at the $500,000 Rosehill Gold Cup over 2000m on Golden Eagle Day at Rosehill.

The four horses landed in Sydney on Saturday and were transferred to the Canterbury Park Quarantine Centre.

They did some light walking and pace work on the Canterbury polytrack surface on Monday morning.

Australian Turf Club General Manager of Racing, Wagering and International James Ross said the Golden Eagle, restricted to four-year-olds, was capturing the attention of the racing world.

"It is rewarding to see the Golden Eagle attract widespread international interest in its introductory year," Ross said.

"We attracted 14 international entries and to receive immediate participation from leading stables has clearly shown the lucrative prizemoney and optimal timing for northern hemisphere trained horses provides the ideal ingredients to develop greater international participation in the future

"The three Golden Eagle contenders have arrived in fantastic order and we couldn't be more pleased the way they have settled in to Canterbury.

"All stables have been very complimentary of the facilities and have welcomed the availability of the polytrack that has been prepared to their specifications.

Local Golden Eagle contenders include Arcadia Queen, Brutal, Classique Legend and Kolding.
