The Randwick Timeform recap featuring a race by race overview of key performers and ones to watch from The Everest meeting at Randwick on October 19.
More than 40,000 people converged on Randwick for the $14million Everest won by the Chris Waller-trained colt Yes Yes Yes.
The Rubick colt was impressive in accounting for Australia’s best older sprinters and in winning The Everest, may have reshaped the optimum spring campaign for a top line three-year-old sprinting colt.
Yes Yes Yes went into the Everest third run from a spell after contesting both the Run To The Rose and the Golden Rose and now has the Coolmore Stud Stakes in his sights.
The injection of multiple big prizemoney races after the traditional Spring Carnival in Sydney continues to have its desired effect.
Deprive maintained his unbeaten record at Randwick in accounting for Champagne Cuddles and Brutal in the Sydney Stakes (1200m).
Upgraded to a $500,000 event in 2017, the Sydney Stakes can potentially be a main form reference in three new races on the Sydney calendar next month.
Deprive could be set for the $1million Redzel Stakes (1300m) at Rosehill on November 2 as third placegetter Brutal will contest the Golden Eagle (1500m) on the same day with Champagne Cuddles profiling strongly for the $500,000 Group 2 Hot Danish Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill on November 9.
Happy Clapper recorded a popular win in the Craven Plate ahead of a luckless Life Less Ordinary.
Both can contest the $500,000 Rosehill Gold Cup (2000m) on November 2 where they could potentially be joined by Emperor's Way who was working home nicely for fifth behind Cascadian in the Star Mile.
Race 1: Time Is Precious - 2YO SW+P Plate (1000m)
Time Is Precious went straight to the front and held on late.

The daughter of Snitzel returned a Timeform rating of 99 and there is no doubt plenty of room for improvement on that display with the benefit of race experience.
The Golden Gift in three weeks shapes as the most logical next step for her. If you’ve got a two-year-old up and racing with a million dollar race right around the corner, you should go to it.
The other option is the Gold Coast’s Magic Millions 2YO Classic in January however she would be taking on stronger opposition.
Postcode and Gravano should go the the Golden Gift as well. They were each solid to the line for the minor placings and give every indication the extra 100m of the Golden Gift will be ideal.
Race 2: Maid Of Ore - Benchmark 78 3YO+ Handicap (2000m)
Maid Of Ore has now strung together four wins in a row now. She has improved with each run this campaign.

The Matriarch Stakes (2000m) in Melbourne or the Country Classic (2000m) in Sydney are the next start options for her.
It will be an interesting decision for connections. They can choose between attempting to get black type in Melbourne or taking something of a penalty kick in a race like the Country Classic which at this stage profiles as a class drop on her latest outing.
Race 3: Feel The Knight - Class 3 Highway Handicap (1100m)
Feel The Knight is potentially one of the more promising Highway Handicap winners we have seen for a while. The Knight Exemplar gelding had no luck first up but on Saturday enjoyed a dream run and capitalised.

He’s got three wins and a placing from five starts to his name now and could build on that record further in the short term.
There is a 1200m Class 3 Highway Handicap the Emma & Lucy Longmire-trained gelding can go to in a fortnight’s time which looks an ideal race.
Feel The Knight certainly shapes as a progressive type. It will be interesting to see if he can graduate from Highway Handicaps this prep. The four-year-old could be a Country Championships horse in the autumn if they can get him out to 1400m.
Lady Demi was good off a freshen up in second. She can go to that same Highway Handicap as Feel The Knight next start.
Race 4: Akari - Listed Reginald Allen Quality (1400m)
Akari is a million yearling and has put two wins on end now. The latest has returned a Timeform rating of 98.

There are a number of Listed/Group 3 fillies races she can head to over the coming weeks in Melbourne. Still early in her prep, the daughter of Snitzel could potentially remain in Victoria for the Sandown meeting on November 16 and contest the Listed Twilight Glow Stakes (1400m).
The first three across the line can certainly head south and make their presence felt.
Race 5: Handle The Truth - The Kosciuszko (1200m)
Nash Rawiller gave Handle The Truth a dream run, settled fifth, off the pace and one off the fence.

The slight fitness edge he had over the chasers played it’s role late with second (Victorem) through to fourth (Bobbing, Noble Boy) all resuming.
Handle The Truth has run to a Timeform rating of 104. It’s not all that higher than figures he has been returning in Benchmark races on a Saturday.
To a degree it highlights just what a great incentive The Kosciuszko is. It allows country horses a great chance to race for big money they wouldn’t ordinarily get the chance to race for.
Victorem in second was good but below his best. He’ll likely head up to Brisbane for their summer sprint series like he did last year, winning the Listed Lough Neagh Stakes (1350m).
Provincial Championship winner Bobbing was an eye catcher in third.
Race 6: Deprive - Group 3 Sydney Stakes (1200m)
Deprive is unbeaten at Randwick from six starts now.

The son of Denman was impressive. He spotted the early leaders a huge start on straightening but scorched home.
The five-year-old has run to a Timeform rating of 113. He’d been hovering about a length off that mark through his prior runs this prep.
There are great next start options for Deprive in both Sydney next fortnight and Melbourne during their carnival.
Third placegetter Brutal is probably looking for the 1500m of the Golden Eagle now.
Champagne Cuddles will be hard to beat in the Group 2 Hot Danish Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on November 9 if she goes there. Fifth placegetter Fiesta can also go in that direction.
Both are high quality mares who are able to stay in Sydney because of these new races.
Only four years ago, Sydney fields on Saturday were terrible once Spring Champion Stakes Day was done. Now, thanks to The Everest and all these new and upgraded races, there isn’t such a noticeable mass exodus of Sydney runners to Melbourne. While they’ve stopped the floats to Melbourne, they are even attracting Victorian runners across the border against the anticipated, traditional flow of traffic.
Race 7: Yes Yes Yes - The Everest (1200m)
Yes Yes Yes. The 2019 Everest winner and holder of the 1200m track record at Royal Randwick. Coolmore’s marketing team don’t need to have too much imagination in promoting this bloke at stud do they?

This was a sensational win against the older horses which included a furlong from the 400m to the 200m completed in 10.51 seconds.
The performance returned a Timeform rating of 125 which is in line with what Redzel recorded during the first two Everests.
Yes Yes Yes is the first three-year-old to win The Everest. What we’ve seen with Yes Yes Yes this spring is now the perfect race campaign for a top sprinting colt.
Resuming in the Run To The Rose, to the Golden Rose, onto the Everest third up and ideally, the Coolmore Stud Stakes in two weeks could prove a path well worn moving forward. It’s no surprise to see Chris Waller as the first trainer to successfully take a colt on that path.
With Bivouac contesting the Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday night, Yes Yes Yes is a clear top elect for the Coolmore Stud Stakes in a fortnight’s time.
Runner up Santa Ana Lane was brave in defeat while Trekking has run a new career peak in third.
Even fourth through sixth weren’t beaten far. A lot of them will meet again for the VRC Sprint (1200m) down the Flemington Straight Six in three weeks.
Race 8: Happy Clapper - Group 3 Craven Plate (2000m)
The Craven Plate has been a $500,000 race for three years now. This is the first year it rated like a $500,000 race potentially should.

Happy Clapper is more known as a miler but was pitchforked into Saturday’s Craven Plate under Weight For Age on Saturday.
The veteran has run a Timeform rating of 119 which is lengths below his best. It just goes to show how well the nine-year-old was placed.
Pat Webster may take him down to Melbourne for one start before coming back up for The Gong (1600m) worth $1million on November 23.
That said, there is the Rosehill Gold Cup (2000m) on November 2 he could contest which would allow Happy Clapper to stay in Sydney.
Run under quality conditions, Happy Clapper would carry 61kg and compress the weights of the event with a host of his rivals sitting outside of the handicap down on the limit weight.
Outside of Happy Clapper, watch for Life Less Ordinary next start wherever that run may be. He was luckless and should be peaking fourth run from a spell, also potentially in the Rosehill Gold Cup.
Race 9: Hush Writer - St Leger Stakes (2600m)
Hush Writer went straight to the front and was dominant in the straight. We’ve got him running to a Timeform rating of 117.

The son of Rulership still holds a nomination for the Melbourne Cup however the only way he gets in though is if he wins the Lexus Stakes (2500m) at Flemington on Derby Day.
Sir Charles Road and Youngstar were each solid in what could be their Melbourne Cup lead ups. They are on the bubble for a cup start.
Carif is looking better the further he gets over. He might join Hush Writer in the Lexus Stakes looking for that last minute ticket to the Melbourne Cup.
Race 10: Cascadian - The Star Mile 3YO+ Open Handicap (1600m)
Cascadian has been promising to do this all prep. The New Approach gelding no doubt lapped up the drop back from Group level and got it done in a head bobber over Dealmaker.

It was probably the confidence booster Cascadian needed and has run up to the master Timeform rating he first achieved in France.
The Cantala Stakes over the mile at Flemington on November 2 could be a nice option for him. He’d be down in the weights for that.
Emperor's Way in fifth was finding the line well second up. The Rosehill Gold Cup over 2000m looks a nice next start assignment for him. He’ll be peaking third up and be down in the weights.
