2019 MOONEE VALLEY FILLIES CLASSIC – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Aspect Ratio could be handy, blinkers are on to Miss Maddie and Quantum Mechanic looks likely to press forward.

FASCINO (1) was big odds but ran really well in the Manifold and that looks a good piece of form for this thinner contest. She goes on top. ASIAGO (5) has won three on the bounce this time around and while the margin was only narrow last time she looks the one spiralling the right way. She can go on improving and give this a big shake.

ASPECT RATIO (4) can get into a positive spot and comes off a win at the trip after finding the A-Grade fillies too hot in the Tea Rose. BEAUTY BOLT (6) is another coming through a good run in the Manifold and NUDGE (7) was right there with Asiago last time and that formline must be respected.

In exciting finish, the judge could not separate Fascino and La Falaise, both fillies staging nice efforts here. Fascino settled in sixth place after being caught wide, early on. She moved up (deep) from the 600m, hit the front at the 100m and then dug deep to dead-heat for first. La Falaise had a good trip in fourth place, between runners, but was held up behind the leaders nearing the home turn. She got into clear running on straightening and then came with a late bid to share the winning result. Nudge had a good trip in fourth place on the rails from her inside barrier (1). She took a split halfway down the straight and then battled on well for a close-up third. Bonvicini raced in fifth place but caught wide. She improved (deep) nearing the home turn, briefly hit the front in the straight and then held on well for fourth, beaten a half-length, after a difficult trip.
