Chris Waller-trained Arcadia Queen will continue on a path to the $7.5 million Golden Eagle at Rosehill but will be monitored closely in coming days.

Arcadia Queen will run in the inaugural $7.5 million Golden Eagle unless she gives trainer Chris Waller a reason to pull the pin.

After beating only Irish visitor Ten Sovereigns home as the $5 favourite in the $14 million Everest, trainer Chris Waller confirmed the classy mare would head to Rosehill for the new feature race for four-year-olds on November 2.

Her Perth owner Bob Peters said they would monitor the mare closely in coming days to ensure she is firing on all cylinders.

"I was a bit worried with her run being knocked around and everything," Peters told Sky Sports Radio.

"But she's eaten up well and she seems to be happy in herself.

"I suppose we'll learn a little bit after she does a little bit of work this weekend and during the week."

The Golden Eagle will be Arcadia Queen's final run of her campaign as Peters canned plans for a return to Western Australia.

"I'd say, at this stage, the Perth campaign's definitely out," he said.

"She'll spell after this run, no matter what happens.

"She's been in work since the middle of May. It's been a long campaign."

Peters and Waller will then come together to sort out their next move and decide whether she will stay in Sydney or head elsewhere.

"Possibly she could spell over here and look at the autumn," he said.

"But a lot depends on how well she goes in her next race."

Arcadia Queen ($4.20) slipped to second favourite behind Brutal ($3.80) for the Golden Eagle after her underwhelming Everest effort.

Peters has previously spruiked her sprinting credentials despite Arcadia Queen winning at 1800m in last year's Kingston Town Classic at Ascot before being transferred to Waller's stable.

Peters will be looking for her not to over-race when she steps up to 1500m.

"She was just very fresh and she took off and went too fast," he said of the Everest.

"This will be a different race altogether. Hopefully she can settle well and come home well."
