Racing Victoria stewards have issued four charges against suspended trainer Jarrod Mclean over information received following a police search of his property.

McLean has been charged with the administration of a prohibited substance, corruption, dishonesty and misleading behaviour and conduct prejudicial to the image, interests, integrity or welfare of racing.

He has also been charged with the possession of a prohibited substance.

Victoria police searched McLean's property, near Warrnambool in southwest Victoria on January 30 and seized a number of items.

McLean, who was also disqualified trainer Darren Weir's Warrnambool foreman, had argued in the Supreme Court that Victoria Police had acted unlawfully when it gave information to Racing Victoria.

But Justice Melinda Richards determined on October 18 that police had acted lawfully.

The charges against McLean centre around the alleged administration, or causing to be administered of EPO to Cats Fun, a horse he formerly trained.

Police have also charged McLean and Weir with animal cruelty offences and conspiracy to defraud racing stewards.

The latest RV charges against McLean will be heard by the Victorian Racing Tribunal at a date to be fixed.
