Sha Tin in December is the Hong Kong International Races.
On December 8 at Sha Tin, the Turf World Championships will be held with some of the world's leading horses, jockeys, trainers and owners all competing.
Four great international races will be run – the Longines Hong Kong Cup (2000m), the Longines Hong Kong Mile (1600m), the Longines Hong Kong Vase (2400m) and the Longines Hong Kong Sprint (1200m).
One of Hong Kong's most favourite horses was Silent Witness and the sprinter loved his home track. Speaking of sprinters, the Japanese champ Lord Kanaloa doubled up in the 1200m feature. He'd go on to produce the freak Almond Eye.
The best horse in Hong Kong at the moment is Beauty Generation who chases his third straight win in the Hong Kong Mile.
