RACE 3 (7) CALIFORNIA LONGBOW Progressive stayer holds the scope to match a 2.5kg weight increase for his last start win over 1800m in this class at Rosehill when having only his third start off a break. He should relish the step up to 2000m, noting that he's already a winner up to 2200m, and has had ample experience on this track where he has a win and two placings from four starts. Can win again from his favourable draw.

RACE 4 (6) MISTEED: This talented mare had strong winter form before she went for a spell and her recent trials have her primed to build on her excellent fresh record that has seen her record two of her three wins when first-up. Her 1200m record is first class and while she would be favoured by a softer track her recent trial wins on firm decks show she is in the right form.

RACE 6 (6) LUVALUVA: She's gone 595 days since her last win but this classy mare has found the perfect race to end the long drought after two excellent lead-up efforts over shorter trips when she has produced excellent closing sectionals. Kembla Grange is the ideal track for her racing style - she won the G3 Illawarra Classic over this course and distance as a 3YO – and the re-application of blinkers for this million dollar race is the key ingredient that should help to bring out the best in this G1-placed mare.

TRIAL WATCH REPORT

NOTED RUNNERS November 23

DOOMBEN SATURDAY: Signore Fox (R8)

KEMBLA GRANGE SATURDAY: Mrs Maisel (R1); Nordic (R3); Kylease (R4); Misteed (R4); The Party Girl (R4); Poetic Charmer (R8); Cinquedea (R8); Boomtown Rat (R9).

MISTEED (Randwick November 12): We gave this mare a big tick after her Randwick trial win on November 1 and this effort only helped to confirm that she is in flying form for her return to racing. She settled last in her 1045m heat before sweeping home out wide to round them up with ease and record a soft win (63.52; 33.92).

MRS MAISEL (Randwick November 12): Second trial in 12 days for this Hinchinbrook 2YO filly and showed obvious benefit from her placing in a Randwick hitout on November 1 to travel strongly in her 742m heat and win with something in hand (43.84; 33.57). The stable is in a good place with their 2YOs.

POETIC CHARMER (Randwick November 1): Really took the eye with his big surge from the rear over the last 250m with Tommy Berry swinging to him as he sailed down the outside to record win in the fastest of the 1045m heats (62.03; 34.37). He's had two trials and is in the right form to rise to a new peak when he resumes.

MISTEED (Randwick November 1): Promising mare went out in winning form in August and her strong win in the quickest of the 745m heats (43.81; 33.69) has her primed to go on with it. Cruised easily behind the lead and did all that was required under no pressure over the last 200m.

GOSFORD SATURDAY: Rockin' Ruga (R1); Super Vino (R2); Rifles (R5); Pearl Roan (R5); Crimlet (R6); Miss Sure Shot (R6); Charm Offensive (R7); Geo (R7); Grenadiers (R7); Rifles (R7); Zouvilla (R7).

CRIMLET (Randwick November 1): Unraced filly by Epaulette has had four trials over last 12 months and this winning effort over 745m was clearly above anything she had shown in the past as she shared the lead in middle of a line of three before given a click up at the 300m. The response was electric, racing clear under a hold to score by 4.3 lengths in sharp time (43.96; 33.39). Looks ready for a suitable maiden.

RECENT TRIAL WATCH WINNERS: In Lighten Me; Rebukes; Brazen Gem; Deadly Impact, Aquitaine; Hinchbeast; Farnan; Zem Factor; Tilia Rose; Sondelon; Playard; Super Longlea; Glenall; Mansa Musa; Lewis; Snips; Ready's Girl; Kolding; Rule The World; Rocha Clock.
