This’ll Testya Dominant For Durrant

3 minute read

Adam Durrant won’t get ahead of himself with promising mare This’ll Testya despite her dominant 6.7 length victory early on Kingston Town Classic Day.

Sent out at the prohibitive odds of $1.22, This'Ll Testya saluted accordingly, leading throughout and putting 6.7 lengths back to her nearest rival with minimal fuss.

“That early speed, those first 50 metres, they give you goosebumps,” winning trainer Adam Durrant said.

“She is very quick. She looks like she has a bit of stamina there. It is only a one metro win event at Ascot but she has got the motor. She hasn’t got good wheels so we’ve got to look after them but she is certainly something pretty special as you’ve seen then.”

This’ll Testya has won her two career starts by a combined margin of 11.3 lengths. While impressive, Durrant isn’t getting ahead of himself with the daughter of Testa Rossa.

“She has to improve that much again to take on the better ones and she has got to learn to contain herself because there are going to be four of five rivals just as good as her attacking,” Durrant said.

“She has got to get another string to her bow eventually and hopefully with time, just letting her go through her gears she will learn that herself. She has got some work to do with herself before we’re going to get to that top grade.=
